One way to share culture: the “suspended ticket”, now available in all the museums of the Pavia University Museum System. The project, developed in collaboration with the Social Services Sector of the Municipality of Pavia, aims to help people who are currently struggling financially to access the University cultural heritage.

The “suspended ticket” will be available for purchase at the ticket offices of 5 museums of the System: the Kosmos museum and the Camillo Golgi museum in Palazzo Botta, the Pavia university History Museum in the Palazzo Centrale in Corso Strada Nuova, the Museum of Electrical Technology in via Ferrata and the Botanical Garden in via Sant’Epifanio (starting from May 4). The modalities of the initiative provide that visitors to the Museums can purchase directly at the ticket office, at a cost of 4 euros, a ticket that, on a quarterly basis, will then be delivered to the Social Services Sector of the Municipality of Pavia to be donated to the people with economic fragility that the Sector has in charge. Each “suspended ticket” allows access to the museums of the Museum System and is valid for 6 months from the moment of its first validation.

The agreement, signed by the rector Francesco Svelto and the mayor Michele Lissia, has a duration of one year to be renewed if necessary, hoping that the citizens will adhere widely to the project designed to help overcome situations of need and to promote the well-being of all the people of Pavia also on a cultural level.
